If you're a non-resident student with a suitable visa, you can use Student Job Search to apply for jobs. Suitable visas include:
Student visa
A student visa allows you to study in New Zealand. You can apply for jobs through Student Job Search in most cases. Make sure you check your visa to confirm your work rights. But typically, you can work up to 20 hours a week and full-time during study breaks.
Jobs you can't do
You can't be self-employed while on a student visa. Therefore, you can't do jobs that require you to work as a self-employed contractor and be responsible for your own tax. We'll often make a note in job listings that aren't suitable for you, so make sure you read them carefully before applying.

Work visa
If you progressed from a student visa to a work visa when you graduated from your study at an NZQA recognised provider, you can apply for jobs through Student Job Search for at least one year after you finish your studies. Once you finish your final course requirements, you can use Student Job Search until the end of that year plus the entire year after that.
Working holiday visa
You can use Student Job Search if you hold a working holiday visa, and you’re studying at an NZQA recognised course that’s three months or less.
